This project proves the power of partnership and what we can do when we are able to work closely with a client on all aspects of the design build process.
Ameren, St. Louis and Southern Illinois’ primary electric provider, was looking to upgrade and modernize their space to enhance floor capacity with new standards of workplace design. The projects aimed to improve flow throughout their space to enhance collaboration across work groups, attract and retain top talent and better deliver on the Ameren brand’s mission, vision and core values.
Ameren’s Vision—leading the way to a secure energy future—and Mission—to power quality of life—represent a brand that is forward looking, contemporary and positive. Using that as our springboard, our design process reimagined the workspace requirements to arrive at multiple concepts for new workstations and casual, shared collaborative spaces that would yield a relaxed environment conducive to teamwork. The designs applied the Ameren brand color palette consistently throughout the spaces and our process extensively engaged user groups from throughout the organization during the design phase to ensure end-user satisfaction at all levels.
The project was split into three phases to execute the new benching systems, teaming rooms and other collaborative spaces throughout the expansive facility. Phases 1 and 2 are all on track to complete on-time and on budget, all while happening throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The steadfast commitment to deliver has been recognized by Ameren’s Senior Project Designer when he says, “what I appreciate most about CI Select is their high level of dedication and responsiveness.
